one improvement i wouldnt mind seeing is a "Feedback" score system for sales on the forum. "Zero In" have a very nice system, and i am sure it is quite easy to replicate. Just my 2 pence.

That would be nice, it seems to be the norm for a lot of forums.
I'm also for a minumum post count/ membership period to access the sales section. A lot of people seem to be having to deal with time wasters at the moment.
Having to express an interest in ww2 airsoft and be a member of the forum for a week or so isn't really too much to ask for people.
Oh yeah and make it compulsory for people to fill in their location to use the sales section. Nothing worse than spotting an item waiting a few days for a reply and finding out it's in Guam, and collection only!
Rating system: unfortunately there isn't such a mod for phpBB3 other than a couple of old abandoned projects, unless anyone knows otherwise. I'm not sure why it hasn't been done but I will say that this would be another burden for moderators. Its one thing getting dragged into sales disputes but another getting dragged into feedback disputes as well!
Frankly, there just isn't a problem with buying and selling on this forum - its incredibly rare I have to get involved between buyers/sellers. Everyone uses their common sense, which is how it should be.
If someone new pops up and asks to buy guns then moderators/admin do take a good hard look at this and I will privately query the poster.
Minimum post counts have been in place for a trial period but led to people double and triple posting as they didn't know why their posts weren't appearing (mods have to approve) so this has now been removed for a trial period. I can't see any merit if 'member for a week then you can sell'.
For the last four years there has been a continuous flow of people joining the forum just to sell kit. Excellent. It matters not one whit whether they have anything interesting to say and would be pointless forcing them to say anything to get a post count (I believe Arnies has a harsh restriction on post count before selling). A free and easy flow of sellers is a huge benefit to forum users here, chances are they are getting out of WW2 (kit usually bought on a whim!) and sell the stuff for a song!
Mandatory locations? No one takes any notice of instructions, no one reads anything. I have put a template in place for people to use (its of benefit to buyers as well as the sellers) but that is ignored too.

Yeah I think its 100 posts or something similar. It is very offputting.

Yep, there's the problem! How about if they don't use the template their avatar is replaced by a dancing gimp?
